LOCK3DIN may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, username, school, department, academic level, courses, study goals, uploaded class materials, audio recordings, grades, tasks, quiz attempts, AI chat transcripts, and support messages.
We may also collect app usage information, device information, crash reports, performance data, notification tokens, and analytics events so we can keep the service reliable and improve the student experience.
2. How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Create and manage your LOCK3DIN account.
- Personalize study recommendations, quizzes, and course insights.
- Process uploaded syllabi, documents, and lecture audio.
- Send reminders, notifications, and important account updates.
- Improve app reliability, safety, analytics, and support.
- Comply with legal, security, and operational requirements.
3. Uploaded course materials
When you upload syllabi, documents, images, or audio, LOCK3DIN uses those materials to provide study features such as task extraction, transcripts, PopCards, PopQuiz, and AI study assistance. You should only upload materials that you have the right to use for your own studying.
4. Third-party services
LOCK3DIN may use trusted service providers for authentication, hosting, storage, analytics, push notifications, crash reporting, email delivery, and AI-powered learning features. These providers process information on our behalf to help us operate the service.
Current service providers include Firebase and other Google services for authentication, analytics, crash reporting, messaging, and infrastructure; OpenAI for AI-powered study features; and AWS S3 for file and resource storage.
5. How we protect information
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to keep your data protected and limit access to authorized uses.
6. Account deletion
You can request account deletion from inside the LOCK3DIN app. When deletion is completed, we delete account data associated with your profile, including courses, uploaded materials, quiz history, AI chat history, and app profile data, subject to limited retention needed for security, legal, or operational reasons.
Account deletion is designed to complete immediately for active app records. Some logs, analytics, backups, or security records may be retained in de-identified or restricted form for up to 30 days unless a longer period is required by law.
7. Your choices
You can manage certain permissions, such as notifications, microphone, camera, and photo access, through your device settings. You can also contact us about privacy questions or support requests.
You may contact us to request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information associated with your LOCK3DIN account.
8. Children
LOCK3DIN is intended for college and higher-education students. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
